Alene shares her everyday, ordinary life with thousands at her blog, Positively Alene. Through her writing she captures the hearts of her readers to seek, search, and serve. Through speaking and writing Alene challenges the core of each soul to reach out and serve more.
As the Director of Volunteers at Bay Area Fellowship Westside Campus, her passion is to see others find the answer to those most frustrating questions “who am I and what is my purpose.” Alene’s message is clear — when you serve others you find your purpose and then begin living the life Christ created you to live.
Alene resides in Corpus Christi, Texas with her husband of 30 years and has three children. She loves warm weather, photography, serving hot meals out on the streets, and Starbucks.
Download her new book, Graffiti: scribbles from both sides of the street, on Amazon.

Meet the Ordinary, but Positively Me . . .
Struggling to know more about this person (me) God created, I became aware of my self-doubt and insecurities of feeling just plain ordinary. I became an ol’ pro at hiding those feelings. I was very good at putting on a mask to cover those ordinary inadequacies.
Along the journey God did a major work in my heart. I began to seek God to know who I was and how I could be comfortable “just being me.” I asked all those questions: who am I, what am I called to do, do I really matter, what do I have to offer, and what is my purpose?
God made it clear that He wanted, and still wants, my everyday ordinary life — my country livin’, military life lovin’, hubby and children huggin’, writing, speaking and picture taking self. He convinced me that He made me uniquely me with special gifts, strengths, and passions that nobody else had. He challenged me to step out and just be me. So, I took that challenge to live my life as “Positively Alene” leaving all comparisons behind.
Seeking to know who I was and how I could be comfortable “just being me” I sought God, many books, and person after person to determine my purpose. After years of searching, I took the challenge to live my life as “Positively Alene.”
I write to help others find their purpose and see that they can live their lives positively as themselves, just as I live as myself . . . Positively me!
My purpose became very clear when this south Texas suburban girl decided to give up her “normal” way of life. You can read about it in my FREE eBook. Download it when you subscribe by clicking here.
Believing in the message that you come to know your purpose through serving others, I have a weekly podcast “Living With Purpose.” LISTEN to Episode 001 – 3 Steps to Living On Purpose by clicking HERE.
