When God wrecked my heart for stop for one, I knew I had to do something.
It soon became apparent that staying the same was no longer an option. Seth Barnes writes in his new book, Kingdom Journeys, which will be released soon (and you’ll so want to order it!), “if I hadn’t abandoned the comforts of home, I would not have experienced the challenges that enabled me to discover new truths about God, his world, and myself.”

Abandoning my comfort zone was it!
I had to abandon the comforts of home, which was basically my comfort zone. I had to find my Calcutta as Mother Teresa would say. And believe it or not, it didn’t take a trip around the world.
Sometimes God has the biggest journey of our lifetime begin and end right in our own backyards.
Well mine didn’t begin in my own backyard, it actually began 7 miles from home. But what a journey it was! There were moments I could have been in a foreign land as I was just that far out of my comfort zone.
“A kingdom journey smashes the boxes we try to put God in. We tend to think that God only acts in certain ways because that’s all we’ve experienced.” #kingdomjourneysbook
As my boxes were smashed, my God became bigger.
His love became more real. His grace became wider.
If you feel God stirring in your soul a call to journey, don’t miss out! Don’t get hung up on foreign affairs, the trip He has planned for you might just be in your own backyard.
What Kingdom Journey are you on?
How is God calling you out of your comfort zone?
