You need to jump out of the boat! Make today the day you quit procrastinating and JUMP!
I’ve been looking at Peter this week before I fly off to Guatemala. That poor man sure gets a bad rap. Yes, he jumped out of the boat and began to sink after a few steps. But to all those who like to label Peter with doubt and fear, I say “HEY, at least he JUMPED!”
Too many times we find ourselves procrastinating, analyzing, and even waiting for perfect circumstances. But today let’s challenge ourselves to be more like Peter. Let’s jump out of the boat in faith!
Yes, I’ll agree with you that we just might fail after a few steps. But I’ve come to the realization that God can not direct and guide you as long as you are stationary! <—tweet that! He needs you jumping, stepping out, and flying to where He nudges. He needs you to be brave!
Take a Step
If you are reluctant to jump, then I urge you to take a step. I don’t care if it is just a baby step. But get moving. Nothing will change until something changes! God needs you to just make one faithful move.
When you make that move you will soon see that God is there partnering with you. He’s walking right beside you until you are brave enough to JUMP!
Peter’s life soared because of the faith that he had. Yes, he messed up — hey, I do too! Yes, he denied Christ — but don’t we all at times by the way we act. But, I’m going to focus on the fearless dude that JUST JUMPED!
Today, actually I’m flying. I’m soaring the heavens to arrive where God has called me — Guatemala. My soul stirs wondering what is in the country and why my heart beats for that country. You can follow our team on twitter at #wreckedguate.
I’d be fibbing if I said I wasn’t a little nervous and fearful. But today, I’m choosing to JUMP and go. Or rather fly!
Do you need to jump out of the boat?
Leave all procrastination, fear, and doubt in the boat. JUMP!
What is one baby step you can take today to get going so God can direct you further?
